Background information:
Bonnie, aka Boom-Boom, was a the fourth daughter out of eight children. Her mother had died from the birth of the youngest child and it was up to her father and eldest brother to take care of them all. She grew up on hand-me-downs from her brothers and sisters and was just one out of eight. She was not noticed much as the middle child. In her family no one was seen as an individual but always as a whole.
Sometimes she hated that idea and just wanted to run away, but she could never muster up the courage to do so.
One day on the way home she seen man standing next t a construction site and as chance may have plained it one of the beams carried by a crane dropped above him! So she rushed and shoved him out of the way. She was hurt badly and had to be hospitalized.
Her father didn't know what to do since they were so poor he couldn't afford her medical bills but if nothing was too happen she would die.
Just then, the man Bonnie saved came to her father, his name was Mr. Gardner, and he offered to save Bonnie's life, under the condition that she stay with him. Her father didn't know how to respond to this. The man said that Bonnie had potential in life and could accomplish great things but in her current environment she would live a life of nothingness. the man refused to pay for her hospital charges unless Bonnie's father agreed, so corned into a harsh decision her father agreed to the mans terms as long as she can be free to visit her family. The man agreed, but would never tell Bonnie this.
After the hospital she was sent right away to the mans home. It turns out he was a scientist studying Alices and artificial Alice wielders. Bonnie was now used as a test subject but had every luxury she desired. New dresses and shoes, her own big room in a mansion, exotic pets, and as much food as she pleased. She never even thought of her 'check ups' or 'physicals' as tests or experiments. But she slowly realized something was changing inside of her. Something about her was different. she couldn't quite figure it out until two years into her stay at Professor Gardner's.
She was able to create small spark bombs that exploded when it touched any objects other then her own body. When the Professor learned about this he was ecstatic about it and knew that she was something special. Thats when he decided to tell her the truth. that she was being tested upon to see if an untouchable would be able to wield an Alice, and it turned out that only a certain blood type and hormone balances determinate if you can.
She was shocked, but not angry. All her life she wanted to be someone special, someone unique, someone different, and now she was.
Soon the Proud Pure Bloods gained knowledge of what Gardner was doing and formed a mob and burnt down his home. But it can be assumed that the was aware of this, because at the time he had Bonnie go out to visit a Miss. Lilith Downing at an Academy for Alice welders, and he had all his wealth and property given to her only two days prier.
When word came back to Bonnie she was very upset and didn't know where to turn so she when to her old home only to find that they had moved. she spent her time searching for them and found that her elder brother was taking care of the older two children and her father as remarried and taking care of the younger ones. when she confronted him he was upset and worried that she never visited, but explained that she wasn't allowed to, she also told him of everything that happened to her so far in life.
He offered to stay with them and she did. for the 1st few weeks it was fine, but she found an emptiness in her life, her older brother realized this and asked her about the Academy that she visited. she wanted to go, but didn't want to leave her family again, but her brother insured her that he would stay in touch and would mind at all.
So she left with a gift from her brother, a ring that was once her mothers. She wears it as a necklace now. And attends Lucson Academy in the Supporters House as the Prefect. She couldn't be happier and couldn't be having more fun.
